It’s becoming clearer, as each day passes, that something is very wrong with Operation Fernbridge.

The Met Police investigation into the notorious child-brothel, Elm Guest House, appears to be coming unstuck.

In the 1980’s, vulnerable boys were trafficked from local care homes to be abused at the Elm by VIP filth, including, amongst others, Cyril Smith MP and a Conservative Cabinet Minister.

Despite strong evidence being gathered by detectives, the CPS has, for some unknown reason, decided to drop key charges against some of the abuse suspects, causing extreme distress to the victims of abuse ( one of whom was helped by Princess Diana).

According to the Exaro News website:

” Prosecutors are to drop key charges brought under Scotland Yard’s ‘Operation Fernbridge’ against two men accused of child abuse.

Exaro has learnt from sources close to the investigation that the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) is set to announce the decision at a hearing at Southwark Crown Court in three weeks.

The decision is a blow to the Metropolitan Police Service’s paedophile unit, which is investigating historical allegations of sexual abuse of boys at Grafton Close children’s home in the London borough of Richmond, south-west London, at nearby Elm Guest House and other sites.

Detectives are understood to be furious with the CPS because it only decided in July to level the charges.

The CPS is understood to have changed its mind about prosecuting three out of 11 charges against John Stingemore, 71, who used to run the children’s home- including the most serious accusation that he faced”.

Quite why the CPS has suddenly dropped these charges has not been explained but things have taken an even darker turn with news that the owner of the Elm, Harry Kasir, has now been released without charge.

Jounalist David Hencke has more details on his blog:

” Harry Kasir, the co-owner of Elm Guest House in Barnes, south west London has been released without charge by the police.

A report in Exaro News today discloses that detectives at Operation Fernbridge released Mr Kasir who ran the guest house with his wife Carole and said to be the centre of a VIP paedophile ring between 1979 and 1983.

Investigations into Elm Guest House are still continuing by the police as are investigations into the now closed Grafton Close children’s home run by Richmond Council in south west London.

Kasir has refused to comment about what happened at Elm Guest House. He did not return calls seeking comment about the police decision to release him without charge.

Sources close to Operation Fernbridge told Exaro that detectives were hoping that Kasir would become a key witness. However, he refused to talk to them about his time as co-manager of Elm Guest House.

After a police raid on the guest house in 1982, the Kasirs were convicted at the Old Bailey of running a disorderly house – meaning a brothel – and fined £1,000 each. They were given nine-month prison sentences, suspended for two years.”

Why are the Met and CPS now backtracking on these charges and arrests?

Are dark and powerful forces conspiring, behind the scenes, to keep a lid on the horrors that took place at the Elm Guest House?

Is Operation Fernbridge slowly being sabotaged so the real truth about which VIP’s visited the brothel is never revealed?

Who stands to gain if Britain’s filthy secrets are hushed up forever?

David Cameron?

Leon Brittan?

British Intelligence Services?

We haven’t got a bloody clue.

Have you?

  1. The entrenched ‘Establishment’, the Eton, Oxbridge, Harrow old boys network is irredeemably corrupt. The only answer for our country now is revolution, be it peaceful or violent. We must tear down the rotting fabric of our (so-called) democratic system and rebuild from the bottom up with people possessing decent moral and ethical values. We must, as a matter of urgency, ban from the political and public arena anyone being a member of the Masons. I think we may find that this secret organisation is behind the CPS decision.

    • Agreed David – all judges must now reveal any masonic involvement as they put each others’ interests before justice – even if it means protecting abusers at the expense of poor vulnerable children who have been abused. It is disgusting. The security services want people to control via blackmail. When abusers get into positions of power, the first thing they do is surround themselves with fellow abusers.

    • We need to look at what’s happening in Iceland where the public has thrown out their corrupt Govt and is rewriting its own constitution. MSM very quiet on this issue – wonder why?!!!!!

  2. Remember the helicopter crash across the river from the Houses of Parliament in which a Mr BARNES and a Mr WOOD (Elm?) were killed, and the Seamus Heaney poem ‘Scaffolding’ was read at Mr Barnes’s funeral –

‘Masons, when they start upon a building,
    Are careful to test out the scaffolding;
Make sure that planks won’t slip at busy points,
Secure all ladders, tighten bolted joints.
And yet all this comes down when the job’s done
Showing off walls of sure and solid stone.
So if, my dear, there sometimes seem to be
Old bridges breaking between you and me
Never fear. We may let the scaffolds fall
Confident that we have built our wall.’

I guess the warning worked, then!

  3. I am stunned nobody has asked Peter Bottomley to explain what he was doing at Elm Guest house. He might be the most influential MP in the country and his family are in the English political bone marrow. Shame on The Argus for not pursuing this to any extent.

  4. It doesn’t matter how high up the tree, the abuse is, either in this country or overseas. The Official Secrets Act, National Security and protecting international relationships shouldn’t be used as an excuse to cover up heinous crimes. These were and are perpetrated against the most vulnerable in society and the British Government will be doing itself a great dis-service if it doesn’t push for fall disclosure on these crimes. Time for Great Britain to take a lead.
