It was comforting to hear top crime expert Nick Ross discussing the unsolved case of Jill Dando’s murder.
He claimed yesterday that the investigation into the crime will never be closed despite the Met saying they were no longer actively working on the case:
” In this case it’s not really surprising.
“It is routine if you have a large detective team on a case, you can’t go on forever.
“They never close the file on a murder.
“From my experience on Crimewatch I know they go back again and again on cold case reviews because sometimes new techniques turn up new forensic evidence or sometimes it’s just turning new stones that weren’t turned before.
“I have no doubt they’ll come back to this and I know they have done several times in the last few years even though it’s not something that has been out in the public domain before.”
Nick then went on to claim he doesn’t believe in the “conspiracy theories” surrounding her murder.
Nick doesn’t believe Jill was killed by the Serbian mafia.
Nick doesn’t believe Jill was killed as a consequence of mistaken identity.
Does Nick have anything to say about another more plausible theory that Jill had stumbled onto evidence of a VIP abuse ring linked to the BBC?
Does Nick have anything to say about claims that a colleague had confided in Jill about the abuse?
Does Nick have anything to say about Jill’s knowledge of Jimmy Savile’s crimes?
Does Nick have anything to say about his wife’s cousin Esther Rantzen’s knowledge of an abuse ring at the BBC and beyond?
We haven’t got a clue.
Of course, we do hope Nick Ross is praying day and night that the murder of Jill Dando is solved.
